Budget airline Ryanair has announced that it will operate two new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Agadir (Morocco) and Bremen.

The Irish-based airline's 2009/10 winter schedule will offer forty-three routes to/from Liverpool concentrating on outbound winter sun and city break destinations.

Ryanair’s announcement of two new routes comes hot on the heels of the recent announcement at Liverpool JLA of five new routes - to Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Rzeszow (Poland), Bratislava (Vienna) and Faro (Portugal) which start in October; and increased frequencies on flights to Belfast, Alicante, Malaga, Riga and Wroclaw, ensuring that Ryanair maintains its full capacity at the airport this winter.

Ryanair’s Maria Macken said: “Ryanair is delighted to announce two new winter routes from Liverpool John Lennon to Bremen and Agadir (Morocco) which both start in October operating twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays.

“With a total of forty-three low fare routes from Liverpool this winter, passengers can beat the recession by flying at Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to exciting destinations all over Europe.

“Agadir is a fantastic holiday destination with so much to offer - ride a camel or check out the Suq al-Had market, overflowing with North African spices.

“Meanwhile, Bremen is a perfect example of what’s called schön klein – the German equivalent of good things coming in small packages. Bremen is famous for its Town Musicians, its rejuvenated Schlachte Promenade on the River Weser, its world-beating attractions like the Universum Science Center Bremen as well as its local Becks beer!

“To celebrate these new routes, Ryanair is offering 1million £8 seats for travel across Europe for travel in late September, October and November. These seats will be snapped up fast and are available for booking on www.ryanair.com before midnight Wednesday 19 August. Seats on the new routes from Liverpool to Bremen and Agadir are available from £10 for booking from tomorrow until Wednesday 26 August for travel until March 2010.”

Anyone affected by the cancellation of Ryanair’s flight from Manchester to Bremen can now switch to the new Liverpool Bremen service.

Ryanair is the world’s favourite airline with 34 bases and 900+ low fare routes across 26 countries, connecting 151 destinations. By the end of September 2009 Ryanair will operate a fleet of 202 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 110 new aircraft (all net of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next 2.5 years. Ryanair currently employs a team of more than 7,000 people and expects to carry approximately 67 million passengers in the current fiscal year.
