Help is at hand for Liverpool businesses struggling with economic downturn, as local business leaders launch a credit-crunch survival service.

Liverpool Business Lifeline is a website operated jointly by Liverpool Vision, Business Link, and the Chamber of Commerce, and provides useful advice and funding to ailing local businesses.

As well as providing immediate aid, the project offers practical advice on funding and marketing, so that business owners emerge from the credit-crunch with a stronger and more competitive business.

Mike Taylor, director of Liverpool Vision said; "Liverpool businesses are coping well with the credit crunch, but its effects are undoubtedly being felt here. We want to help as many as possible weather this economic storm.

"The Liverpool Business Lifeline website is aimed at the city’s small and medium sized businesses and organisations who are struggling to find an easy route out of the recession.

"We hope it will prove to be an essential reference point for businesses looking to ensure that they will come through these difficult times in a healthy state from which they can grow."
