Companies are signing up for a fundraising ‘It’s a Knock Out’ competition to raise money for good causes in Liverpool.
Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services (LCVS) is staging the event at Mossley Hill Athletics Club on Sunday 28th June with the aim of helping local charities and voluntary organisations raise funds for their work.
Representatives from companies such as Paul Rooney Solicitors, Kenyon Fraser Marketing Communications, Travel Counsellors and Ology Business Coaching will come together to battle their way through a series of events, which include the giant inflatables and water pools made famous by the TV show.
Each team will be raising money for a charity of their choice, with beneficiaries including The Marina Dalglish Appeal, Claire House and Henshaws.
Clare Beavan, Philanthropy Development Manager at LCVS, said: “Charities rely on their supporters, especially in the current economic climate, and are unable to operate without funding. It is the aim of LCVS to support local groups in their fundraising efforts and we have organised this event to bring people from all over the city together to raise money for good causes.
“The response from local companies has been phenomenal but I wouldn’t expect anything less from the people of this city. There will be lots going on at the event and it will be suitable for all the family so come down and join us!”
Liverpool’s BNI Midas Chapter is providing two teams for the event and member Andy Donaldson, from Hit Search Ltd, said: “We are all looking forward to the event and LCVS have done a fantastic job in setting it up. Charity is the focus of the day but we are a competitive bunch and winning is everything!”
Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available and prizes will be awarded to the winning team and the team that raises the most money.
