Throughout the week, DLIB will host a range of topical events for business leaders including a forum titled ‘Leaders: Born or Made?’ which will feature some of the region’s leading entrepreneurs discussing the importance of leadership as a key ingredient of any business, big or small.

Delegates will also get to hear from business leaders who have recently visited Silicon Valley, who will be sharing their experience of meetings with the likes of global corporations including Facebook, LinkedIn and others.

Finally, motivator to the stars Michael Finnigan will be sharing his expertise with attendees. Having been a mentor to Everton Football Club manager David Moyes and Open Golf Championship winner Darren Clarke, he’s got plenty to tell!

Frank McKenna, chairman of DLIB, said: “This is going to be an exciting and inspiring event with plenty of insider information from successful business figures. It will be a great addition to our programme for Liverpool Business Week.”

Leaders: Born or Made takes place on Tuesday, July 17 at the Malmaison hotel from 8.30am to 10am.

Other events not to be missed during the week include ‘A Frank conversation with ... Ged Fitzgerald’ which will see The Chief Executive of Liverpool City Council talking about marketing Liverpool, the Local Enterprise Partnership, Liverpool’s ten year plan, and the changes an elected mayor will have on the local authority.

More details about all of the events taking place during Liverpool Business Week are available from www.downtownliverpool.com.

Places to attend are free but must be booked in advance via the website as space is limited.
