Exclusive Liverpool florist, The Dutch Flower Shop, provided the stunning flower arrangements for the much-anticipated royal visit.
As Liverpool looked forward to the arrival of the Duchess of Cambridge, one local business will was busy putting the finishing touches to an extra-special commission this Valentine’s Day.
Woolton-based florist, The Dutch Flower Shop, was chosen by the Duchess to provide the decoration for her visit to Liverpool bar, The Brink.
The Brink is the UK’s only non-alcohol bar, and played host to the Duchess of Cambridge as part of her ongoing commitment to the charity Action on Addiction. Kate was presented with her own bouquet – a delightful bunch of beautiful red roses to mark Valentine’s Day, which follows something of a royal tradition as the long-established business has also provided flowers for the Queen on four occasions, Lady Diana and the Duchess of Cornwall.
Lorraine Whittle, owner of The Dutch Flower Shop, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that The Dutch Flower Shop provided the Duchess of Cambridge with flowers for her visit to the city.
“We used a selection of stunning red roses of varying sizes to create a beautiful arrangement at The Brink. We also created a smaller bouquet for the Duchess, featuring the same flowers – all perfect for Valentine’s Day."
“The trial bouquet was raffled at the shop on 14 February, so customers had the chance to win their very own Duchess bouquet too! All proceeds were donated to Action on Addiction, of which the Duchess is a patron.”
The Duchess also visited Alder Hey Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in addition to her visit to The Brink and Action on Addiction.
