The Managing Director of Wirral based CheapAccounting.co.uk has won the Woman in Finance Award from the National Network of Aspiring Women.

Elaine Clark was presented with the coveted award by Jo Cameron, founder of the Network of Aspiring Women, and Charlotte Sweeney, International head of Diversity Inclusion at Nomura International, during the glitzy event, attended by 250 guests at Villa Park Birmingham.

Elaine said that she was absolutely thrilled and delighted to have won.

She said: “This is excellent recognition for CheapAccounting.co.uk, a national on line business started from my converted Wirral garage.

“In just four years CheapAccounting.co.uk has developed into a recognised national brand. Client numbers have swelled to over 700, doubling in the last year and set to more than double in the next year.

The last two years has seen the launch of the franchise model with 14 franchisees recruited and this number expected to double in the next year.”

Elaine beat off stiff competition from some of the UK’s leading women to land the prestigious award.

Jo Cameron said: “I extend my congratulations to Elaine in what has been a super year of nominations. Over 200 applied this year which is superb.”

Gill Fielding, who sat on the judging panel, and also appeared on the Secret Millionaire, said: “Elaine is a deserving winner, having created an extremely focused – but different - business brand with clarity and strong intent in a very crowded accountancy market.

“Furthermore she has added a franchising possibility displaying vision, confidence and creativity in the business strategy. Elaine demonstrated both personal and business strength, well done!”

The Award compliments the Progressive Practice accolade achieved by CheapAccounting.co.uk in 2010.
