
An Avon Lady has made her 1,000th round selling make up as the global beauty brand celebrate their 125th anniversary.
In 16 years of running her own Avon business Amanda Garrett estimates she has sold over 2,500 lipsticks and 1,500 bottles of perfume.
She has covered almost 7,000 miles to deliver brochures and products to her customers, friends, family and neighbours.
Amanda, from Watford, manages a team of 1,600 representatives has also sold over one million marscaras and 500,000 lipsticks.
She said: "When I started my Avon business in 1995, I never dreamed it would go on to be the success it has become today.
"Avon has given me the perfect work life balance, and I love the social aspect of it.
"I’ve met so many inspirational women on my rounds, many of which I now consider close friends.
"I’ve even skipped breakfast today as so many of my customers have promised me birthday cake in celebration of Avon Founders Day."
California Perfume Company president David H. McConnell founded Avon in in New York in 1886.
What started 125 years ago with a simple line of five floral fragrances has grown to be the world’s largest direct seller.
There are 6.5 million independent Avon Representatives, selling over 3.5 billion products a year to 300 million customers in over 100 countries around the world.
Globally Avon Representatives earn $4.5 billion a year, more than the profits of global giants Walt Disney, Nokia and Nike.
