An Everton fan and internet whizz-kid has launched his own company to bring web surfers to small businesses....for free.
Entrepreneur Dan Taylor is marking the launch of his new company, SEOwned, by offering the first three Merseyside businesses who contact him a free consultation.
Using an SEO – search engine optimisation – report Mr Taylor will help business to the top spot on search engines like Google, Bing or Yahoo.
The Bebington-based Managing Director said: “Most can make some massive wins online with just a few small changes or through the appropriate use of social media.
“But there’s so much focus on national and international ranking in search engines that sometimes the costs of proper online campaigns escalate unnecessarily, which is off putting to smaller businesses.
“We’ve set out to prove that it doesn’t need to be expensive to be found online.”
Mr Taylor has had an impressive career with some of the top websites in the world.
He has worked within SEO agencies such as Just Search, one of the best known in the country, and in marketing roles within companies Moneysupermarket.com and Manchester United.
SEOwned began as “friends and family” project with Taylor helping friends with small businesses, quickly realising that the market for help to grow small businesses online is poorly served.
He claims: “This is primarily due to a lack of suitably experienced and qualified individuals.”
SEOwned will be working with some of the Wirral’s best small businesses including Express Clean Valeting, payroll specialists Zanter and floor cleaning specialists Surface Lab to help them be found by the right people in the right places.
“We have already reduced one client’s advertising spend to a quarter of what it was, increasing visitors to the site by half again in the process,” he said.
SEOwned and the team of online marketers can be found at www.seowned.co.uk or info@seowned.co.uk.
