The leaders of the world's eight most influential animal welfare organisations have invited social marketing specialists Kenyon Fraser to their annual leadership forum in Italy.

The event, being held in Turin this week, will help them explore how social marketing can support the work of their organisation.

The Forum is an independent association, comprising of Chief Executive Officers of leading animal protection societies, and selected guests from civil society, government and business.

Chief Executives of organisations such as the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), UK's RSPCA and Compassion in World Farming will take part in a full day of seminars with senior Kenyon Fraser’s social marketing experts, alongside Professor Alan Andreasen of Georgetown University, USA, who is one of the World's most respected social marketers.

This event follows Kenyon Fraser's sponsorship of the World Social Marketing Conference in Dublin this April, which was attended by over 600 social and not-for-profit marketers from across the globe.

The Kenyon Fraser team will be working closely with the group on topics including sustainability and the environment to public health, and how communities can work together to maximise their effectiveness by pooling resources, promoting compatible messages, and possibly launching joint initiatives to address current and future issues.

Ben O'Brien, Director of Health & Society at Kenyon Fraser said: “As a fully integrated agency working with clients and partnerships across commercial, public and third sectors, our team has experience in supporting social change projects on an extensive range of public health, social and environmental issues.

“We are delighted to be able to share our experience and approach with such a prestigious and progressive group as the WAF.

“We are really excited about facilitating this important step in an emerging strategy for the WAF, and wholeheartedly support their aims for creating sustainable behavioural change to support the animal welfare movement globally.”

“Over the last few years, we have found that many of our health and social sector clients are very interested in how commercial marketing techniques can support them, but more recently many of our commercial clients are realising that social marketing techniques can also help them – both in terms of achieving their business objectives, and in aspects of their corporate social responsibility.”
