Liverpool World Heritage Site bucks apartment sales trend

Mann Island is successfully bucking the trend in the wake of a quarterly report showing city centre apartment sales are at a 10-year low.

Countryside Properties has carried out a survey, which shows sales are ahead of projections for the residential development in the heart of Liverpool’s World Heritage Site.

The survey follows a recent report suggesting city centre and waterfront apartment sales in Liverpool are at worryingly low ebb.

The appeal of Mann Island has transcended the current gloom surrounding the market, according to Countryside Properties.

“We’re delighted with the response since we officially launched Mann Island apartments on to the market,” said Peter Vella, Countryside Properties Regional Sales Director.

“We’re ahead of where we wanted to be at this stage and we’re continuing to handle new enquiries at our sales and marketing suite on site.”

Since January Mann Island has achieved 24 reservations, with the monthly figures rising each month with April the most successful so far this year.

“When the market is slow you have got to have confidence in the quality of your product,” added Peter.

“And the Mann Island apartments are fully justifying the confidence we have in them.”

The main attractions for prospective purchasers are the striking design of the two wedge-shaped buildings containing the 376 apartments, their high quality specification, enviable location close to many of Liverpool’s leading cultural, entertainment and shopping destinations.

Apartments start at £120,000 for a one bedroom property and £163,000 for a two bedroom apartment, and there are two and three – bedroom, plus penthouse options available.

Countryside have also put together a shared equity scheme, as well as paying up to 5% towards a deposit for purchasers.
