easyJet to give UK based crew a day's holiday for Royal Wedding

easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, today announces that it is going to give all of its UK based crew a day off in recognition of the Royal Wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Although, it is not mandatory for companies to grant a day off on the 29th April, easyJet felt it was the perfect way for its crew to celebrate the Royal occasion. easyJet is planning a full schedule on the 29th April and those crew unable to take the actual day off will be have an additional day off later in the year.

Mike Campbell, easyJet’s People Director said: “We wanted our crew to join in the royal celebrations and although many will be flying on the Royal wedding day, everyone will be able to celebrate with this extra day holiday.”
