Property doctors to help first time buyers at Liverpool's St Paul's Square

Property experts will come together at Liverpool’s St Paul’s Square apartments this month to advise first time buyers on how to purchase their dream home.

The city centre development, which has recently launched its Shared Equity Scheme, has invited Matt Carragher from Savills Private Finance, and solicitor Andrew Burke to offer advice, tips and guidance to people wanting to get on the property ladder.

Matt Carragher said: “The desire to get on the property ladder can be overwhelming and it isn't always easy. High property prices and a restricted mortgage market have put home ownership beyond the reach of many.

"We believe we can help by giving buyers the opportunity to receive specialist advice from industry experts who have in depth knowledge of the marketplace. There’s nothing to lose.”

The event follows the announcement of the Shared Equity Scheme at the development, which gives buyers the opportunity to move into one of the development’s brand new one or two bedroom apartments for just 80% of the full purchase price.

The scheme is aimed at helping individuals, couples and families get on the property ladder by funding the remaining 20 per cent of the purchase price with a 10-year interest free loan from the developer secured against the property. All that is required is a five per cent deposit.

A two-bedroom apartment starts at £119, 960, which is 80% of the open market price of £149, 950 under the Shared Equity Scheme. For more information or to request a viewing please contact King Sturge on 0151 242 6490.

The clinic will take place on Thursday 24th February 2011 from 12-2pm and from 5-6.30pm and is taking place at the St Paul’s Square show apartment.
