Top Gear Recruitment celebrates financial success

Top Gear Recruitment’s Liverpool operation is celebrating after filing a set of financial results that are up forty per cent on last year’s figures.

The report showed the Bixteth Street branch, filled 13,629 shifts in the first six months of the year, generating sales worth £1.3 million.

Top Gear, which has five branch operations across the North West and Yorkshire, has just submitted this year’s accounts for the six months ending 30 June 2010. The results show a total company turnover of nearly £10.5 million – an increase of over 20 per cent on the same period last year. The company also reported a gross profit of £1.4 million pounds.

The results of the report point to increased confidence in the marketplace, and are a strong indicator of post-recession progress for the manufacturing and logistics sector.

Cementing its position in the recruitment industry, Top Gear filled over 129,000 shifts across each of the five branches in the last six months alone – up 25 per cent on last year’s figures.

Richard Burford, managing director at Top Gear, said: “Top Gear is going from strength to strength. We’re delighted by our progress over the last six months, and are confident of ongoing growth within the marketplace."

Top Gear is the preferred supplier to Tesco, Wincanton and DHL, and the sole supplier of agency drivers and logistical workers Walkers Snack Foods and New Look.
