Freshly opened to the public just a fortnight ago, "Nicola Harris Beauty" has transformed an idyllic Georgian town house into a haven of comfort and relaxation in leafy suburb Allerton.

I was lucky enough to sample the exclusive “A-list facial” by Rodial Spa Concept which uses the renowned Glamoxy Snake Serum (AKA Botox in a Bottle) and is available only at Nicola Harris in the North West.
Priced at £90, this "A-List facial" means just that with a harem of celebrity followers such as Cheryl Cole, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston. Recently dubbed 2010’s “Number One Must Have Treatment” by an array of beauty editors, would it live up to the hype?
In the careful hands of owner Nicola, the 60 minute treatment was nothing short of exquisite. Lavished with a variety of lotions on my face and shoulders, along with a very relaxing head massage, I was made to feel like a princess.
Having tried various face masks and treatments in the past with mixed results, this was certainly different, leaving my skin literally glowing. However, ‘Botox in a Bottle’ may be a misleading nickname for the Glamoxy Snake Serum, which contains a neuropeptide ‘Syn-Ake’ that mimics the effect that Viper venom has on it's victims. I found the tightening effect fleeting, although my skin felt uplifted and breathing easier, giving me the confidence to spend the rest of the day without applying a drop of make up!
