A Liverpool trio are hopping on bikes to get their business moving.

Based in the Contemporary Urban Centre above the cycling shop Giant, City Rickshaws Limited provide innovative, eye catching 'street' advertising on ten eco-friendly Ad-Trikes.

The company was formed 12 months ago by partners Mike Wheelhouse, Chris Swan and Jamie O'Brien.

Partner Mike Wheelhouse said that the aim was to attract city centre users to Liverpool's Baltic Triangle, which incoporates the area around Park Lane, Jamaica Street and Blundell Street, towards the Contemporary Urban Centre.

The trio hope to employ students for the advertising ride through designated inner city streets to promote companies and events in and around Liverpool.

Fellow partner, Chris Swan, said: "It's a really quirky way to get advertising across to people.

"Not only is it environmentally friendly but it can get down those narrow streets where taxis, and lorries can't get."

The firm also provides advertising in the form of "eco walkers", where a fancy backpack is strapped to the body, with water and IPod docks.
