A generous Liverpool businessman has decided to reward his loyal staff by making all 300 of them his business partners.

John Tasker, who owns Tasker's DIY stores in Aintree and Edge Hill, made the unusual step to reward his workforce, meaning each staff member now stands to scoop a share of the profits.

At the end of 2010, all partners will receive a bonus payment, depending on the increase in profit.

Senior management believe that increased turnover is directly affected by the quality of customer service which staff provide, and Mr Tasker hopes that his unusual generosity will lead to his stores providing the best customer service in the country.

The partners bonus pot will start at £100,000, and will increase by 5% every additional £100,000 in turnover. The bonus pot will then be split between the 300 partners.

Managing Director, John Tasker, said: "We played around with lots of variations on a bonus scheme but in the end we wanted a simple and transparent system that we can keep all the Partners continually updated on.

"It’s clear for all to see that more sales equals a higher fund and ultimately a bigger payment for them."
