Range Rover Evoque Go Off Road at Liverpool Albert Dock

With the hotly anticipated launch of the Range Rover Evoque taking place in Liverpool, Albert Dock have announced an exciting opportunity for the public to experience Land Rover’s floating off-road course and take a spin in the new Range Rover Evoque.

Located in Duke’s Dock, which sits between Albert Dock and Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool, Land Rover has installed a specially designed floating test track to allow visiting journalists from across the world to experience how the Halewood built, off-roader handles in a variety of conditions, even the very wet! The Evoque is a true Range Rover and the off-road course is designed to demonstrate the superb all round capability of the new vehicle.

Albert Dock has been working alongside Jaguar Land Rover and British Waterways to create a unique opportunity for the public to take part in this experience. Beginning on July 21 and running until August 21, visitors to the Dock will have the opportunity to be amongst the first to see how the car handles as they are by driven around the course in a brand new Range Rover Evoque by the Jaguar Land Rover Experience Team.

The course will be open from 1pm to 6pm daily with a suggested donation of £1 per person which will go to the NSPCC and the RNLI. It costs £4 for the NSPCC to answer a call to ChildLine so if each of the four people in a car donates just £1 that means that every car will enable the charity to answer another call from a vulnerable child and young people from across the UK.

Sue Grindrod, Chair, Albert Dock Liverpool said: “We are delighted to be able to support such a worthy cause and would like to thank Jaguar Land Rover for bringing this prestigious launch to Albert Dock.

"The setting is perfect and shows just how flexible the site can be. The course looks very exciting and I know that the Evoque Experience will be hugely popular with visitors and locals alike.”

Tickets can be booked at the box office on the slipway alongside Duke’s Dock.
