More than 200 guests enjoyed a fundraising first birthday party at Matou pan Asian restaurant.

Celebrations at the Pier Head venue featured entertainment from singer Zara and clown Simon; a delicious buffet and compering by Radio City presenter Rick Vaughn.

The event marked the end of a successful first year for the restaurant and helped to raise more than £2,000 for Radio City charity Cash for Kids.

Matou co-owner Billy Riley said: “I would like to thank everyone who has supported us in our first year; it’s been an amazing time for all of us in Matou.

"I’d also like to thank everyone involved in our birthday celebrations, for helping us to raise money for a wonderful local charity.”
