Hollywood Bowl kicks off Edge Lane rebuild

Hollywood Bowl have begun a multi-million makeover of their Edge Lane site.

A £2.1 million renovation is kicking off at the facility, which celebrates its 35th anniversary this year in its current location since first opening in May 1990.

More than 7 million games have been played on-site with special guests including Samuel L Jackson, Lady Gaga and Everton and Liverpool players.

The new upgrades include 28 state-of-the-art ten pin bowling lanes as well as amusement and a bar and diner.

Dave Porter, who has worked as chief technician at the centre since it first opened, said: “Hollywood Bowl has earned a stellar reputation in Liverpool and nationwide for providing affordable family fun.

“We’re excited to reopen our doors this spring, bigger and better than ever. Being part of the Hollywood Bowl Edge Lane journey for over 30 years has been a true pleasure, and we can’t wait to unveil the next chapter in state-of-the-art bowling for the city.”

Customers still looking to get their bowling fix during the refurbishment period can access Hollywood Bowl Speke, situated a half hour’s drive away.

Existing and new customers signing up to the Edge Laine mailing list will receive a 20% discount code for a standard game at Speke during the hiatus.
